FAQs

Safety first! Everyone must fill out a PADI Medical Statement. If you answer "Yes" to conditions like asthma, heart issues, or lung problems, you will need a quick sign-off from a doctor before we can get in the water. Please contact us for the form if you are unsure!

We make it easy! We can help arrange and suggest the best accommodation near our dive centers in Chumphon. Just let us know your travel dates, and we will handle it.

It depends on what you're looking for! Chumphon offers quieter dive sites with massive schools of fish and a "hidden gem" feel. Koh Tao is world-famous for its vibrant diving community and variety of dive sites. Since we operate in both, you can even start in one and finish in the other!

The Chumphon Archipelago is teeming with life! You’ll likely see sea turtles, massive schools of barracuda, snappers, and colorful anemone fish (Nemo!). If you’re lucky, our deeper sites like Chumphon Pinnacle are famous for visits from Whale Sharks, especially during the peak months of March–May and September–October.

Yes. All divers at Sensui Dive Center are covered under the Tourist Association of Thailand (TAT) mandatory insurance. This policy covers basic treatment for scuba diving-related illnesses and accidents while you are training with us.

Important Note: While the TAT insurance covers the basics, we strongly recommend that you also have your own Travel & Dive Insurance (such as DAN or World Nomads).

  • Check your limits: Many standard travel policies have "depth restrictions" (often 18m). If you are taking the Advanced or Deep Diver course, ensure your personal policy covers you for depths up to 30m or 40m.

  • Broad Coverage: Personal insurance often provides higher coverage for medical evacuation and non-diving accidents during your stay in Thailand.

Yes! If you have your own gear, you are welcome to use it. Our instructors will help you check it to ensure it's serviced and safe for the local conditions. (Note: Most courses include gear rental in the price).

If you have trouble with a specific skill or need to leave early, don't worry. We can issue you a PADI Referral. This document proves which parts of the course you completed, allowing you to finish the rest at any PADI dive center in the world within 12 months.

Yes. We have specialized, smaller tanks, BCDs, and wetsuits specifically designed for kids (ages 8-12) to ensure they are comfortable and safe during their Bubblemaker program.

This is a critical safety rule. According to PADI standards, you must wait at least 18 hours after your last dive before flying. Please plan your travel accordingly so you have a relaxing "dry day" in Chumphon before heading to the airport!

We are lucky to dive year-round! However, the best visibility and calmest seas are usually between March and September. From November to January, we may experience a "monsoon" season with more wind, but we always select the most sheltered dive sites to ensure your comfort and safety.

Many people are intimidated by the name, but the Rescue course is more about confidence than "muscle." While it is physically active, the focus is on technique and problem-solving. It is widely considered the most fun course because of the realistic (and often funny) role-playing scenarios we do on the boat.
